BRIDGE (noun)
a structure carrying a pathway or roadway over a depression or obstacle
a time, place, or means of connection or transition
Bridges are vessels within a complex or simple system that can transfer, modulate, quicken or slow down a process. Human beings are organic bridges that connect and disconnect with fibers at will. Society places much value on building bridges, but then lapses into sedentary sloth even while knowing that maintanence is a must for preservation. Peoples of Color have always been organic and metaphysical bridges of celestial, mundane, and structural growth in society.
We are the illusions that Colonialism labels as invisible
We are the fortress of unbridled creativity and fertility
We are the pillars that are judged by humanity’s apathy
We are the patronized bastions of culture that invoke genius
We are the waters underneath the bridge that the Trolls fear
We are the branches that break the hinges of systemic solidarity and oppression
We are the mystics and mediums that are the soul of celestial birth
From we the Peoples of Color we are the bridges that detonate the fragments of
A society in illusion……
We are the bridges…
