Characterizations of malady and predatory instincts are the harbingers of the interlopers. Colonialism and its shared vices of cultural appropriation and dissolution of lineage are its poisonous gifts. We have reference to this in the demonization of wolves and bulls. Each creature is majestic and has a long spiritual and cultural lineage that includes Native American and Indian mythology. Peoples of color have had the symbols and language dissected and explored under a colonial fragmented frame work that has been horribly reframed in a skewed and misshapen entity. Wolves by nature have demonstrated a powerful family connection and a sophisticated communication arsenal of nonverbal and spoken languages. Europeans themselves have segregated the predatory and instinctual essence of the wolf to imbed a violent and malicious trait in this creature. Cautionary tales foreshadow the wolf as predatory and devouring organic and feminine energy with a voracious appetite much as enforced patriarchy does to sublimate a matriarchal society. Shapeshifting and hunting on the primordial and metaphysical planes are one the gifts of the wolf, a noble creature that has been slandered by cultural appropriation and colonialism. Native Americans, West Indian and Indo-Caribbean cultures have been indoctrinated in the higher realms of material transformation through the alchemy of science, faith and the creative forces.

The bull along with the heifer are revered in Egypt and the great subcontinent of India, and they are associated with mystical healing, magical and fertility abilities. It is this essence that has been victimized with displaced aggression of a powerful and strident creature who nurtures its own and gives a wide berth to strangers but will attack if provoked. The bull in particular has been utilized for its fertile and magical transformative properties especially in Greek and Roman mythology by the King of the Gods Zeus. This was a cultural appropriation to take a consecrated and spiritual entity for the purposes of deception and corruption. This is the modus operandi of cultural appropriation and its colonial warfare. Africa and India share a profound metaphysical respect for the environment and all its creatures. Each had had periods of history marked by powerful indicators of shared collective consciousness through their shape shifting and unification of the mind, body and soul.

Peoples of color are the progenitors of change and celestial growth often villainized by colonial interlopers with a minuscule and segregated approach to culture. As the wolf and bull are exalted in their position with the gifts of insight, fertility and magic, so are peoples of color. There are many stories, fables and tales; however, the ones that endure are the ones rooted in the divine essence. Peoples of color have the forward thinking power of the bull and heifer to graze all landscapes. People of color have the tracking and communal power of the wolves to forge ahead and travel past the mundane. Peoples of color can be the architect of a broader and more gracious spirit at large. And they can reclaim the heritage through collaborative efforts.
